Berkeley High School
On March 21st, the Then They Came for Me exhibition welcomed 160 Berkeley High School seniors for an education tour. The students were guided by five of our docents, including members of our advisory committee. Some students watched the Then They Came For Us film by Abby Ginzberg and Ken Schneider, while others made paper cranes as part of the Tsuru for Solidarity project. While visiting this historic exhibition, students were also able to participate in contemporary dialogue on immigration as part of this nation-wide project. The goal of the project was to contribute 10,000 paper cranes for a protest at the family detention center in Dilley, Texas on March 30.
